Check Gold, land, and the City button
Gold has its own balance. A large Army does not mean a City is affordable, and a large Gold balance does not tell you how many troops an attack will send.
Before you buy:
- Find controlled land, not a neighbor's color and not water.
- Read the City action's current price.
- Compare that price with Gold.
- Buy one City.
- Look for CITY BUILT and a house icon, then read Gold again.
Taking more colored land is not the same action as building. If you do not see the house, you have not confirmed a City.
Prices that appeared, not a permanent tariff
Menus during matches have shown City prices of 25.0K, 75.0K, and 125K. Do not multiply the opening price to predict the next one, and do not treat those three numbers as every later cost. Read the next City action after each purchase.
A Port is a different button with its own prices (an early menu showed 500K and a later menu showed 1.00M). If you want both, compare the two live labels before you spend the first one.
Numbered houses are not a level table
Some house icons show a small 2 or 3. That marker means the icon carries extra information. It does not state an income multiplier, a troop bonus, a maximum level, or the price to upgrade that house.
Keep three checks separate:
| Question | Look at | Do not assume |
|---|---|---|
| Did a City get built? | CITY BUILT and the house icon | That the next purchase upgrades this same house |
| Is there a number on the icon? | The marker on that house | That 3 is the cap, or that 2 means double income |
| What will this button do? | Its current label, price, and description | That the 25.0K / 75.0K / 125K list is an upgrade ladder |
If the action is simply labeled City, confirm whether it creates another building. After you buy, look at the selected house again.
Fallen-player Gold is a single result
Named fallen messages can include Gold. In one match the amounts were Ravenhold +10.0K, Yarrowmere +20.8K, and Duskwater +43.4K. Those three figures are not a payout table and not a passive-income formula. Wait for the message, read Gold, then decide what the new balance can buy.
Do not plan a 125K City around a reward you have not received.
