Army and Troops are different readings
Army is the pool: current troops, capacity, and growth per second. Troops is the slice selected for the next attack. The whole Army does not enter every fight.
The visible Attack Size choices are 25%, 50%, and 75%. With roughly 3.79K Army, 25% displayed about 949 Troops. Use the number on your screen. The percentage stays selected while the soldier count changes after losses and growth.
What each setting asks you to decide
| Setting | About how much it sends | Question before you click |
|---|---|---|
| 25% | About a quarter of current Army | Is this enough for this patch without a second costly push? |
| 50% | About half of current Army | Can the remainder cover another border you can already see? |
| 75% | About three quarters of current Army | Does this one target justify leaving so little behind? |
None of these buttons tells you the defender's count or guarantees a capture. Owned land shows its own name and troop label. Read that label. A small-looking shape is not a weak army.
A send order that survives contact
- Name the tile: open land, a player's holding, or water.
- Read Army, then the selected Troops count.
- Look along the rest of your border for a second neighbor.
- Send the attack.
- Read the top-center message, the color change, and Army again before you repeat the percentage.
If Reinforce is on a countdown, do not plan the attack as if that button will instantly replace the troops you just sent. Budget from the Army you have. Reinforce's own label is covered in the buildings guide, and the 100K on that button is not an Army reading.
Attack Size does not raise growth. After a large send, watch the per-second figure and the capacity. If you are near capacity and growth reads +0/sec, that is a panel state to interpret, not a production bonus from attacking harder.
Players, not factions
Country-style names are labels on holdings. They are not a documented faction roster with combat bonuses. A higher rank on Standings is also not a reason by itself to attack or to avoid someone. Match the name to the land you actually border, then compare troops.
After a fallen message, read the map. Some eliminated holdings show a skull marker. A name disappearing does not, by itself, prove a combat elimination, a disconnect, or a bot. Fallen Gold amounts also differ from message to message, so do not spend a building budget on a payout you have not received.
