Three buttons, three jobs
Defense, Artillery, and Reinforce are separate labels. A desktop-style bar has shown T for Defense, R for Artillery, and E for Reinforce. Use whatever control your device actually presents. A key hint is not a phone layout and not a full placement procedure.
| Action | Value seen on the button | What to verify after |
|---|---|---|
| Defense | 500K | A square fortress on the location you chose, plus any overlay the match draws |
| Artillery | 50K early, 500K later | A cannon icon where you intended it, then the building's own details |
| Reinforce | 100K while available, then a countdown such as 25s, 15s, or 5s | Army after the press, not a guessed troop grant |
These amounts are menu readings, not a promise that every future update keeps the same cost. Artillery's two examples show that the price can change. They do not prove a fixed multiplier per extra cannon.
Do not measure range from the circle
Coastal fortresses are square icons. Circular overlays appear around structures in combat, including near cannons. The circle tells you the interface is highlighting something. It does not state a radius in tiles, a damage multiplier, or that every projectile inside it came from your building.
Orange projectiles show up in naval and coastal fights around ships and structures. Do not assign every shot to Artillery because a cannon is nearby. Read the encounter.
A fortress beside ships is not a documented hard counter to every vessel. Compare the building's current description with the threat you can see, and still read Army before you attack.
Reinforce is not an Army number
The 100K on Reinforce is text on that action. Army's troop count, capacity, and growth are a different panel. The public notes do not establish that pressing Reinforce grants 100K troops, or which currency the 100K spends. Read the action details in the match, use it only if those details match what you expect, then look at Army afterward. Other growth and losses can change the count in the same moment.
After use, the button can show a countdown. Sample readings include 25s, 15s, and 5s before 100K returns. Those samples are not a published full cooldown for every server. While it is counting down, plan attacks from the troops you already have.
When to skip the purchase
Buy Defense or Artillery when a border or a coastal fight is the problem you are solving and the live price fits the balance the action asks for. Do not buy one because it is the cheapest button, and do not skip a troop check because a building exists. Gold, or whichever payment the action states, is separate from the Troops slice you send.
